the next extravagant disppointment
09.06.06 (1:40 am)   [edit]

he sat down and looked around

the room was full

of noise

of bustle

of aromas

and people moving

here and there

in their business

and mobile conversations

ignored him completely

he waited

and waited

for someone to take notice

to recognize him

and acknowledge his presence

and he waited

for years

and one day

late in the evening

a little girl

whose mother was

hurriedly dragging her along

to the next

extravagant disappointment

caught sight of him

smiled

and tried to wave

before being yanked off

in another direction

so he gathered his things

still tragically undisturbed

and walked away

wondering if being ignored

was worse than being crucified

i get that a lot. sometimes people dont know how to respond - thats cool. they keep stopping by to read and thats what matters. Ü
